slug

The stable part of a funder’s URL, generated once and then left alone.

slug is the last segment of a funder's address — the part after /funders/. It is generated from the name when the funder record is created and is not regenerated afterwards.

A funder that renames itself keeps its slug and shows its new name. The alternative changes the URL, breaks saved links, and gives a search engine two addresses for one page.
