geography
Where the funder says it gives.
geography records the places a funder states it funds.
It is the binding constraint on most community and family foundations, where eligibility is defined by where the work happens rather than by what it is.
Stated rather than inferred. A funder whose recent grants clustered in one county has not thereby restricted itself to that county, and we do not write the restriction in for it.
