Exports
What an export contains, why every export carries provenance columns, and what it is not licensed for.
An export is a CSV of the records a search returned.
What is in it
The fields as the record shows them, with the provenance columns included rather than optional: source_url, last_verified_at and verify_method travel with every row.
That is not padding. A spreadsheet of grant data with no source column and no date is a spreadsheet that will be circulated for a year and quoted in a board paper, by which time nobody can tell which figures still hold. Exports carry their own provenance so that the file is checkable away from this site.
Absence in a CSV
The three absence states survive the export. A field the source did not state is not an empty cell; empty cells in a spreadsheet read as zero or as false, which is exactly the misreading the states exist to prevent.
Limits
Export allowances are per plan and are stated on the pricing page. Exports are for your own use; redistributing the catalogue as a dataset is a different thing and is not what a subscription buys.
