What the wizard matches on, and why an unstated field never counts as a pass.
The matching wizard narrows the catalogue against what you tell it about your organisation and your project.
What it matches on
The stated fields on a record: applicant class, geography, industry, amount range, deadline window. It shows which fields matched rather than producing a single score, because a score whose basis is invisible is a number you cannot argue with.
The rule that matters most
An unstated field is treated as unknown, not as satisfied. A record whose notice said nothing about geography does not clear a geography filter — it is surfaced as unknown on that dimension, and the notice is linked so you can check.
The alternative is worse in a way that is hard to see: a wizard that let silence pass every filter would return more results, look more useful, and send people to apply for things they are not eligible for.
What it does not do
It does not predict whether you will be funded, and there is no fit score. We hold no data that would support one, and a number without evidence behind it is the thing this product exists not to publish.
It does not determine eligibility. Eligibility screening is the funder's, done against the notice.
