Reimbursement cash flow
How much you have to float before a reimbursement programme pays you back.
The number that decides whether a reimbursement award is survivable is not the award, it is the peak outlay. This computes it from your own schedule, and assumes every claim is paid in full and on time — the optimistic case.
Enter a spend figure for each period to see the peak.
How to use it
- Enter your spend. One figure per period, in the order you will spend it. Periods are whatever you decide they are — months, quarters — as long as the lag uses the same unit.
- Set the reimbursement lag. How many periods after spending you expect the money back. One means the money for period 1 arrives in period 2.
- Read the peak. The peak is the most you will be out of pocket, and the period it falls in. A late payment moves it later and higher; this arithmetic cannot know about one.
Computes only from what you enter. Nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored.
