Alternatives to GrantTrove, and to everything else
Every grant database we have checked, with the entry price each one publishes about itself and the date we read it. No ranking: we have not run the audit a ranking would need.
The whole list
Every product below publishes its own price. The dates are when we last read that price on the product’s own page, and they are not all the same date, because some sites answered and some did not. Where a site did not answer, its row says so rather than carrying a figure from memory.

Entry is the cheapest tier each product publishes, including a free one. Unchecked facts is the number of things about that product we have written down as needing a human to confirm; a high number means its comparison page is thin, and saying so here is more useful than letting you find out one click later.
Why there is no ranking
What we publish instead is what each product says about itself, the date we read it, and the list of things we could not check. Where our own column appears it is computed at render from the price configuration and from two live queries against our database — no figure about us is typed onto a page.
The free official sources first
Three of the rows above are not commercial products at all. Grants.gov is the federal government’s own portal and is free, complete for federal discretionary programmes, and the primary source our own federal records link back to. SAM.gov is where an organisation registers, which is mandatory and free and has no substitute. USAspending is the public record of what was actually awarded.
If federal discretionary grants are the whole of your search, the honest recommendation is the official portal and not a subscription to anything, ours included. The comparison pages say so in their own conclusions.
