The weekly digest

What entered the catalogue this week and what closes next, with every entry linking to the record and its source. Every issue is also a page here.

What arrives is a summary of the catalogue: what was linked this week, what closes soon, and nothing else. No sponsored placements, no opportunities we were paid to feature, and no figure that is not on a record you can open.

Every issue

What an issue may contain

Every entry in a digest names a record in the catalogue and links to it. That is a constraint on the format rather than a habit: an issue cannot carry an opportunity you are unable to open, which is what keeps it a summary of the data rather than editorial copy about the sector.

Every issue states the date its counts were taken. An issue is a photograph of a catalogue that moves, and a figure in one describes the day it was taken rather than the day you read it — which is the same rule every record carries in last_verified_at.

Where a source stated no deadline or no ceiling, the entry reads Not stated rather than being left blank. A blank in an email is read as a zero exactly as a blank in a table is. Reading provenance and Not stated sets out why there are three answers rather than one.

If you want something narrower

The digest is everything. If what you want is one search watched — your applicant type, your state, your field — that is an alert, and it reports what changed rather than what exists.
