Every one of those numbers comes from a page Candid publishes about itself, not from a measurement of ours.
It is worth being direct about what it does well: The deepest philanthropic dataset in this comparison by a wide margin: 1.9 million organisations searchable by name, EIN or keyword.
Where Candid states its own limits
- Full profile views are metered on the paid tiers: Premium allows up to 750 a month and Ultimate up to 5,000.
- The free tier returns limited search results and basic profile views only.
- The discounted rate requires verification as a non-funding organisation; funders and consultants pay the standard rate.

If you need eligibility at a glance
This is the part worth paying for anywhere. Applicant type, geography, matching requirement and disbursement method are stored as fields here, so a match tells you which clauses agreed with your answers rather than returning a score you cannot audit.

If you need to know how current it is
Every record here shows the date it was last confirmed against its source page, the domain it was checked against, and whether the check was automated or a human review. There is no confidence percentage anywhere on this site, because a record was either checked on a date or it was not.

If breadth today is what your search needs, Candid has more records than we do and we are not going to argue otherwise. Our catalogue is early, and the data sources page says exactly how early rather than leaving you to find out.
If you need to file an application, use the grantmaker’s own system. We host no application forms and sit between nobody and a submission deadline.
