In detail
Incorporation by reference is why an agreement can be three pages and bind you to thirty. The referenced document is on the funder’s site and is the one to read.
Specific conditions are the ones worth finding first, because they were added deliberately in response to something in your application or your risk assessment. A general term applies to everyone; a specific condition applies to you, and somebody chose it.
Against the notice’s stated requirements
A notice states requirements for applying. Terms and conditions state requirements for holding the award, and they arrive later. Our records carry what the notice published; award terms are not published with the notice and no column here pretends to hold them.
How GrantTrove stores it
- `source_url` and `last_verified_at` on every record point at, and date, the document the funder did publish.
- We publish no interpretation of award terms. That is legal reading, it is not data, and it is outside what this product does.

What is a specific condition?
One added for your award, usually in response to something in your application or risk assessment.
Do you summarise them?
No. Summarising terms would make them our claim rather than the funder’s.
